Principal Terry McCarty, far right in hard hat, is speaking in the photo, flanked by Dr. Bob Shannon, Superintendent of USD383, representatives of the architectural and construction firms, and the USD383 School Board. McCarty thanked the citizens of Manhattan for voting for the Bond Issue which made this $40 million addition and the renovations to the older building possible. (No more 50-year-old bathrooms!) As McCarty said in his short and happy speech, now the building will be of the same top caliber as the students and teachers that have always been within it!
